1. Get rid of excess, physical or otherwise. This stuff only weighs on your mind and psyche! A good organization and “edit” process will teach you more about yourself than you realize. Dig in and start with small steps.

2. Keep what’s important: This is different for everyone, only you can decide for yourself. This can take some serious soul-searching.

3. Don’t “should” on yourself, and don’t “should” on other people: If you don’t feel a strong conviction to do something, maybe it needs to go (or not go).

4. White space is ok: It’s ok to have a few days that you don’t have anything scheduled – downtime helps you unwind.

5. Say no more than you say yes – your “yeses” will mean MUCH more.

Great way to slim down all the great ideas and resources of the simplification movement into just 5 steps. I have been reading and working on creating a simple life for some time and think this might be the best overview I have came across. Great site, keep up the good work!
